Welcome

Thank you for visiting my website.  I am a professor of statistics and I’ve been at Rice University since 2000. My general research interests are in biomedical applications of statistics, including biostatistics, statistical genetics and bioinformatics. Most of my biomedical work is motivated by collaborations with researchers from the Texas Medical Center. I’m also interested in education and Mexican migration research through collaborations with Rice faculty in the sociology department. More information is available in my research and publication pages. I currently serve as the undergraduate statistics advisor; see the undergraduate advising page for related information.
